Tubes on Monday (eek!)

We would love your prayers for Britton as he is having tubes put in on Monday. Our little guy has stayed very healthy until September when he got his first ear infection. A few weeks later, he had another one, and that one seems never to have gone away. We have been through rounds and rounds of antibiotics and his little ears are staying infected. Poor fella ... he gets it from me. We came back from Thanksgiving and went straight to the doctor since he had been running fever, and, on a scale of 1 to 10, our doc said he had 9s in both ears! The crazy thing is ... you would never know it if he didn't run fever. He was so good over Thanksgiving that we were very surprised his ears were so bad. We made the call to go forward with the tubes knowing there are a couple more months of cold season ahead, and hoping that it will take away the pain he must be feeling.

So, we're headed into the surgery center on Monday at 5:30 a.m. By the time you wake up and get to work on Monday morning, he will probably already be out of surgery and possibly even sleeping the day away at home in his crib. We are hoping for an uncomplicated surgery and a speedy recovery! We'll keep you posted.
