Translator, Anyone?

This is one of the funniest moments we have captured of Lia Kate on video. She has been jabbering like this a lot lately. I have no idea what she is saying, but she is sure emphatic about it! My best guess is that what you hear is a mixture of English and Chinese babble. Enjoy...

Oh, and, yes, she is wearing a shirt that says "I love pig races." More on that in an upcoming post.

Another Haircut

Britton got a haircut recently. It was, by no means, drastic, but we did get a few inches cut off all around.

Trampoline

Britton jumped on his first trampoline at a friend's house a few weeks ago. And it was love from the start. He giggled and laughed more than I have ever heard him.

Begging for "more, please."

Ready, Set, Go!

This is Lia Kate in her "ready, set, go" stance!

This is her on the word "go" ... she throws her arm down, yells out "go" and takes off. It is hilarious.

And she's off.

She is one funny, spunky girl.

Sweet Surprise

We had a sweet surprise this past weekend ... we ran into the doctor who delivered saved Britton's life early on the morning of January 8, 2008! We haven't seen him since we checked out of the NICU when Britton was 6 weeks old...

That was then.

This is now.

Dr. W is our hero. Since it had been two years since we saw him, I wasn't sure he would recognize us. But when we walked up to him, he had a big smile on his face and told me he knew who we were the minute we walked in the door. We will certainly never, ever forget him and what he did to save our son, and I don't think he'll ever forget Britton and the big miracle that happened early that January morn.

It Was a Beautiful Mother's Day

I don't think Mother's Day could have been a more beautiful day! The weather was gorgeous and the kiddos were happy. Lia Kate went to the nursery for the first time at church and did great. After church, we took lunch out to the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. And it made my day to snap some precious pictures of Britton and Lia Kate. Later, while the kids were napping, I went to get a pedicure. Then we enjoyed dinner outside at the new noodles restaurant in town. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Here is a video from way back in February (yes, I am that behind in blogging) of us singing Lia Kate and Britton's favorite songs:

They do love a nursery rhyme! In fact, when we were in China and as we Skyped with Britton every day, we had to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider multiple times every. time. we. skyped. ;o)
