Makes My Monday

Britton's great-grandfather Giffen stopped at our house when he was passing through town last week. Here they are having breakfast together. Britton insisted on sitting at the kitchen counter just like his great-grandpa. Love it. And, you guessed it ... it totally makes my Monday.

Updated: Just found out that the cheapest shipping option is no longer $2.99. It is now $4.39. Guess too many people were taking them up on their offer!

Original Post:
If any of you out there have kids that love VeggieTales, you can get a DVD for $2.99. It is part of a promotional for their 15th anniversary celebration. Here's how it works:
Click here and play the little game (you have to search for the umbrella), then you will enter a drawing. Then you can get a "free" DVD if you pay the $2.99 shipping fee. You have a choice of 3 DVDs. Not a bad deal!

Makes My Monday

I love that my boy loves his daddy so much!

I also love that I actually remembered to do this post this week even it was a tad late. ;o)

Fun Family Weekend

We had eight Giffens under one roof last weekend. It was especially fun for the two littlest Giffens -- Britton and Will.

There was lots of car riding.

And toy playing.

And bath taking.

But still not a fan of water in his face. ;o(

Britton is really into reading and being read to these days. Here in the lap of Daddy Doug.

He's also on a real lovey streak lately. Hugging Gigi.

Lots of fun to watch the two little boys together! Here I am holding all 55 pounds of them.

First Day of School

Mother's Day Out at Covenant Day School is back in session and Britton had his first day of school last week! He moved up to the Kittens class, and there are a bunch of great little kiddos in there. In addition to lots of playtime and interaction with little friends (so good for Britton), they will be doing crafts and music classes this year too. It's fun being a toddler. Britton loves going into his class and never even looks back.

Thanksfully, they have been very accommodating with Britton's food allergies, and he even has a peanut allergy buddy in there. Because of that, these two sit by themselves and away from the other kiddos while eating their lunch. Kinda sad but at least they have each other. Here is Britton with his new Covenant Day School bag. Next year, he'll begin preschool (crazy!). Looking forward to a fun year ahead.

What Type of Mullet?

Danny gave Britton a bath the other night, then combed his hair straight back. As it dried it soon resembled a mullet. See for yourself ...

Oh yes. Business in the front.

Party in the back.

By the looks of this photo, I am thinking he is rocking the "feather mullet" but not sure. I am not exactly up on identifying mullets.

I have to say ... when appropriately groomed, my child does not normally have a mullet.

Brainiac.

My little kiddo is totally a brainiac in these -- his grandpa's -- glasses ...

Totally.

Good thing he has a great smile to go with it.

Makes My Monday

College football is back and it totally makes my Monday! We had a great weekend of watching a few games and cheering on our teams.

My Ole Miss Rebels beat the Memphis Tigers yesterday 45-17. Hotty Toddy!

And Danny's Longhorns won handily over Louisiana-Monroe (but that game wasn't on TV).

Here's to a fun Fall and some good football.

Lil' Model

Here is Britton obliging his mama and modeling a shirt for me. Such a sweet boy! Also, here is a better picture of his post-haircut hair. Much less mullet-ty than those first pictures!!!
