Monkey See, Monkey Do

Lia Kate loves walking around and pretending she's on the phone. "Hello" "Hey!" "Shh, be quiet" "Okay" "Ummm" "Hold on" and "Just a minute," she often says when she's on the *phone*.

When you ask her who she's talking to see, she always says "Miss Kelley." Kelley is one of my dear friends. We became friends when we adopted our daughters at the same time. And we do talk on the phone a lot. But we aren't talking much on the phone these days because Kelley is back in China! And she's about to adopt another daughter. In fact, they'll be meeting her for the first time tonight, around 2 a.m. our time. So, if you like to follow adoption blogs, be sure to check hers out.

Catching Up: Spring Program

Britton & LK had their Spring Program at their sweet little preschool back in March. I meant to post about it earlier, but just downloaded the pictures. I was so proud of my babies! They did so great in their first "stage" experience. LK caught a glimpse of her daddy and mid-song screamed out "Hey Daddy!!!!" And then she saw me and screamed "Hey Mommy!!!!" and waved furiously and did a little happy dance. It was pretty adorable. When Britton's class came out, he couldn't see us, but he looked so sweet up there! He may not have sung all the words of the songs, but he did every single hand motion. It was precious. Here are some pictures...

The theme of the program was The Teddy Bear Picnic, so each child brought their favorite teddy bear. Lia Kate had her "panna bear."

LK and her class were lightning bugs.

Britton and his class were"bumma bees."
Doing all the hand motions.
Britton spent most of the time on stage chewing on his bottom lip. He comes by that honestly as that is something I do all the time! I've noticed that Britton does it whenever he is in a new situation.

After the program, we went to their class rooms to see their art displays. This is Lia Kate's self-portrait.

Catching Up: One Spring Morning

These pictures were taken on one of the beautiful cool mornings we had this spring. I loved how sweet they were being with each other. This kind of sweetness is so not the norm, but I'll take it when I can get it!

Catching Up: Easter

This is so late, but I wanted to include pictures of our Easter!

The Easter baskets ... er, buckets.

We went to church that morning and did Easter buckets and egg hunting when we got home.

They loved hunting eggs this year.

Looking through their loot.
