Last Day of School

Today is the last day of preschool for the year!

It is hard to believe they look liked this on the first day of school in September...

And that today, they look like this...

They have had such a good year. I remember being really concerned on Lia Kate's first day back in September not knowing how she would react to being without her mama in a strange room with new faces. She was a little wary those first days, but it didn't take long for her to absolutely fall. in. love. with going to school. She has blossomed so much and I'm so thankful for her amazing teachers who made her feel at home and loved. She loves her teachers and classmates and prays for them by name every night (melt my heart).

Britton had a great year too. He is talking so much more than when he started in September and is becoming so independent. He loves school and always walks in with a big smile on his face. He is learning so much and has had some wonderfully patient teachers who have shepherded him along this year. We are thankful.

This post always makes me a little sad because it shows how fast my babies are growing up. It's a good thing, too. But hard on a mama. (Here is last year's last day of school post.)

So, here's to a fun-filled summer ahead! We'll be playing in the sun, swimming, going to the zoo and the science museum, getting together with friends, going to the park, heading to Disney World with Danny's family, and celebrating Miss Lia Kate's 3rd birthday in July!

Totally love how Lia Kate has her arm around her brother - so sweet! Jealous you are done with school - our kids have 10 more days...I'm ready for a relaxing summer!

Your two little ones are so cute together. You can tell they really adore each other. Lia Kate's pig tails are so cute and her hair looks like it's getting long. I can't wait to try pig tails on Maggie !

Have a great Summer. Oh, so glad to hear that Brittan is talking more after going to pre-school. I am hoping Maggie will start talking more too next year when she goes to two year old pre-school. Can't wait.
