We finally have Britton in our arms and boy does it feel good! We are here in the family room at the NICU just watching tv and letting Britton fall asleep on us. We hope this is the very beginning of normal for us.
After a crash course on how to operate Britton's home apnea monitor, we celebrated his impending departure from the NICU by taking his sat probe and leads off. Hooray! He leaves here tomorrow with us weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz. -- two pounds bigger than he was when he was born. We are grateful for all the good care he has gotten here.
Check back in. We'll have more pics of our "home going" tomorrow!
Here Britton is getting "unattached":
Here is one of the best nurses around! Pam took care of Britton on Day 1 when he was one sick little boy. We are forever grateful for the care Pam gave him that day.
Happy Valentines Day! And Happy Birthday GiGi!

Lee and I are thrilled that little Britton is so close to coming home! We can't wait to come see your new family all together at Whispering Pines!
You guys look like you are getting in the swing of things. The snuggling on your chest is the best. Will be thinking of you tonight, tomorrow, and the days to come. We are over joyed for you all. Many thanks to God for bringing this day. It has truly been a long journey from the very first pregnancy. We love you!
Keep up the good work.
